The Story Behind the Work.
Grim Grin Graphics started from a simple frustration — too many businesses were paying for design that looked fine but did nothing. No strategy, no consistency, no results. We built GGG to do the opposite: design where every logo, page, post, and deck has a job and does it.
The hustle came first. Troy freelanced for four years to put himself through college — real clients, real deadlines, real budgets — long before GGG had a name. That is where the work ethic behind the studio was built. Today Grim Grin Graphics is based in Versailles, Kentucky — serving Lexington, Bluegrass businesses, and clients nationwide through a remote-first process.
Good design is not decoration. A logo has to survive a business card and a billboard. A landing page has to load fast and turn a click into a customer. We care how it looks — but we care more about whether it earns its keep.

The Team.
Troy Knight is the founder, owner, and Creative Director of Grim Grin Graphics — a multi-disciplinary designer with experience across brand identity, web design, 3D, social media creative, and integrated marketing campaigns. He has built visual systems, developed and launched websites, produced photorealistic 3D product mockups, and led digital marketing execution for brands across e-commerce, nonprofit, and community sectors — including agency work with Counsel of Marketers in California and campaign design touching organizations like Charity: Water. Every project is handled directly by Troy — no handoffs, no agency markup. When he is not building brands for clients, he is building worlds of his own through fan art, Blender animations, and personal projects made by hand.
Michael Parker serves as Office Administrator for Grim Grin Graphics, supporting client communication, email coordination, invoicing, scheduling, and internal organization. Clients may occasionally see him in Zoom meetings depending on the project or administrative needs.
